Itinerary

We meet at Inverness Airport for a private transfer into Speyside. Bikes are built and carefully fitted before a gentle shakedown spin along the banks of the River Spey. The road follows the water to the Speyside Cooperage (a workshop where barrells are constructed). Here, traditional craftsmanship keeps the whisky industry alive. The afternoon brings a private tasting at The Macallan, before dinner at the Copper Dog.
Distance: 15 miles

Today we ride a classic Speyside circuit linking some of the biggest names in whisky. Glenfiddich, Aberlour and Balvenie line the route, connected by rolling roads that rise and fall gently through woodland and open glens. Lunch is a riverside picnic prepared by the hotel chef, followed by a relaxed afternoon. Evening naturally gathers in the Quaich Bar, where conversation flows as easily as the drams.
Distance: 45 miles

We leave Speyside and head south into the mountains. The Lecht Ski Centre pass delivers hairpins and gradients that hit 20 percent. At the summit, the Cairngorms stretch wide before releasing us into a long, thrilling descent. We roll past Corgarff Castle and into Royal Deeside, finishing directly at the doors of the Fife Arms.
Distance: 38 miles

With three days in your legs, the loop through ancient Caledonian pine forests continues the journey. We ride past Balmoral Castle, the Royal Family’s Scottish residence since 1852, before continuing to Lochnagar Distillery for a Royal Warrant tasting. Lunch is taken in Ballater, a Victorian village with yet more royal connections, before an easy return ride. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the hotel’s galleries, fires and quiet corners.
Distance: 35 miles

Rest the legs with a private 4×4 Land Rover safari and a ghillie-led walk in search of golden eagles. Or climb back onto the bike to tackle the Cairnwell Pass, the highest main road in the UK and a satisfying final challenge. Come the evening, we’ll bring everyone back together under one roof to toast the day’s experiences.
Distance: 0/25 miles

We transfer south, leaving the high mountains behind and entering the softer landscapes of Perthshire. The ride winds through the dramatic Sma’ Glen and the rolling lanes of Strathearn, accompanied by the quiet hum of rubber on tarmac. These quiet lanes continue all the way to your arrival at the world-renowned Gleneagles. A post-ride massage at the ESPA Life spa follows before a relaxed evening on the estate.
Distance: 35 miles

A short morning spin through the Ochil Hills opens the day – your final chance to enjoy the wonderful roads of Scotland. Come the afternoon, there’s the chance to dive into some clay pigeon shooting, learn more about Scotland’s rich falconry history, or head for the greens on enjoy a round on the King’s Course. The concludes with a farewell dinner at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, Scotland’s only two Michelin star restaurant.

After a leisurely breakfast, we transfer privately to Edinburgh Airport for onward connections.

Private Macallan Tasting

A closed-door tasting at one of the world’s most revered distilleries. The Macallan is one of the few distilleries in the world that still places such emphasis on oak, investing more in its casks than many producers spend on whisky itself.
